Hey There!
I am so glad you are here.
Parenting is hard. We got this.
About
Sarah grew up in suburban Chicago and was on an IEP for Deafness/Hard of Hearing and Mental Health support during her K-12 education. Inspired by her high school Social Worker, she pursued a career in social work, earning her Bachelor’s from Aurora University in 2013 and her Master’s from the University of Denver in 2014. Sarah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Special Service Provider and an Addictions Counselor Candidate.

Post-grad, Sarah provided English learning opportunities in Bosnia and in Brazil before becoming a Caseworker for Denver County's Youth Services. She then worked in the JeffCo School District as a General & Special Education Social Worker. She then transitioned to Child Therapy to spend more time with her child. Currently, Sarah serves as a Social Worker and Substance Abuse Counselor in a high school.

Passionate about child development and parenting, Sarah has extensive experience with students aged 5-18 and their families, understanding various disabilities and developmental needs. After noticing a need for supporting children and their grown ups with navigating transitions and general daily life, Sarah began creating the 'I Can Do It' Series to support new experiences through engaging stories. Sarah is committed to being neurodiverse affirming and anti-racist in all she does; she recognizes she is forever learning.

Sarah enjoys spending time outside with her husband and child, tending to her houseplants and outdoor veggies, and thrifting. Sarah spends a lot of time reading as many books as she can and keeping up with court trials and true crime.
